Dogs & dog owners of all walks are invited to take part in Brunswick County's first Bark at the Beach Dog Walk, a fun-raiser set for Sat.April 21,at Holden Beach.
The event begins at 9 a.m. with registration under the Holden Beach Bridge, followed by a ribbon cutting and walk at 9:45 a.m.
The cost is $20.00 per walker and dog.
Participants and their dogs will go on a beach walk on two different tracks, for a distance of two to three miles. Other event highlights include a doggie idol contest and separate compititions for most talented,ugliest and cutest dog for a $10.00 entry fee.
All event proceeds to benefit Eastern North Carolina Easter Seals and Carolina Canines, a non profit group that helps provide specially trained dogs for people with disabilities.
